The large rondelles in this piece are named after the region they hail from--the Gobi Desert. The colors in the agates include the blues of the desert sky, the golden browns of the desert sand, and the soft greens of the oasis. In this piece the Gobi agates are paired with turquoise for that seasoning of color. Each piece of turquoise is hand coiled with copper wire. The clasp is a copper toggle.
This is a bold piece. The Gobi agate rondelles measure 13mm across and the as do the copper discs that begin and end each agate link. The colors in these rondelles are truly beautiful and remind me of incredible wind swept vistas along the steppes.
