A pretty box for holding special memorabilia. I image someone using this to squirrel away notes, gift tags, shells from the shoreline,a pressed and dried flower......any little memento of a special day, a special person or simply a treasured memory.

I took a sturdy cardboard box and have covered it in layers of small pieces of tissue paper. The layers have been built up and sealed each time with Modge Podge. The very pretty yellow Fairy is handmade, and purchased from another artist especially for this project. She has cardboard wings and she is crafted from a clay, possibly Fimo.

My photos show the interior and exterior of this pretty box. The inside lid is pink as is the inside base although I have also included a picture of Sunflowers in a vase taken from an up-cycled birthday card.
The base of the box exterior is multi coloured and has the addition of four large green wooden beads for 'feet'.

A really lovely box inside and out just waiting to filled with special memories.
