The centerpiece of this beautiful slave bracelet is a hand shaped gold trinity knot, also known as a triquetra, representing the bride's past - her connection to family, home and her upbringing, her present - on this, her special day, and her future - the new life and family she will create with her new husband.

The trinity knot is surrounded on each side by sparkling, translucent white crystals, and attached by a sleek gold chain to a wire wrapped ring, with another white crystal adorning the center. The bracelet closes with a handmade flemish spiral clasp.

The tradition of a bride wearing white is a relatively recent one. The white gown first gained popularity in 1840, when Queen Victoria married Albert of Saxe-Coburg. At that time, wearing white was a symbol of affluence, as only the very wealthy could afford a dress that would only be worn once, and white was not easy to clean back then. Throughout the years, it came to symbolize purity, and more recently, joyous celebration and of course, beauty.
