HISTORY:
I have had this a LONG time! And though I carried it many times and had LOTS of fun with it, it seems to be in basically the same condition as when I got it -- which I am estimating was about 15 years ago. If memory serves me correctly, this was given to me as a hand-me-down style gift and I don't remember who gave it to me! (that's BAAAAD!) I carried this for gentle evening use possibly a dozen or so times, but it has been sitting idle for over a decade... it's ready for a new mama.


CONDITION: I believe this to be a MOD era 1960s piece, though it may be 1950s -- my fellow sellers and enthusiasts are welcome to chime in with background info -- I will gladly share and post your helpful info!
I would say that this is about AVERAGE for being a VINTAGE USED purse -- the gold tone golden-ness has worn off in places, and the eelskin has some dents from storage (which magically pop back into shape at times)... and the interior has some wear etc... but this is totally NOT ready for retirement. Interior lining is sort of stretched out in places, though still very well connected to the interior of the bag. (see pics) Is it MINT? No. It is not. But for those who do not mind their vintage "worn", then this has much life left indeed!

Height: about 6.25 inches tall
Width across front: about 8.25 inches
Thickness across side is about 4.5 inches
Handle extends about 3 inches from top of bag.

MATERIAL:
Shiny black Eel Skin with Brass Hardware. Hardware is HEAVY and as an experienced Horsewoman, I am here to say that the handle FEELS and looks like a REAL bit! Lining is plastic (I think) and there is one little slot pocket type deal.
