Beautifully rich green opal gemstone teardrops, 18x13mm/ 3/4"x 1/2" with copper highlights are separated by 6mm Slate shell pearls in this 18"/ 46cm long necklace.
Czech pressed glass Copper Gray Ammonite (fossil snail) pieces line one side of the necklace. Each is 20x30mm/ 3/4'x 1/2".
A gorgeous vintage Art Deco wing stamping 60x21mm/ 2 and 3/8"x 3/4" adds a vintage vibe on the other side.
13cm/5" of a vintage textured copper cable chain ends with my handmade toggle clasp.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
These opals stopped me in my tracks and I was just looking at them through a computer screen. So I knew that they would be extra special in person. And they are. Mixing them with the Slate shell pearls highlights the play of color within the stones. Opals started out as a kind of jelly like substance filling in the voids and cracks within other stone or harder material. And you can really see that in these wonderful pieces.
The gorgeous vintage Art Deco copper wing highlights the more earthy inclusions of the stones. The ammonite glass pieces give memory to the time when these were created. And when fossils were first formed.
