This pattern for Misses sizes 8, 10, and 12 makes three attractive dresses, two full-length and one knee-length, with a country or pioneer style design. When this pattern was made in 1974, it was considered a formal. It's a really interesting and feminine dress with a retro feel.

I can imagine wearing this style of dress these days with knee boots or metallic sandals (if it's the shorter style), or ballet flats for the maxi-length dresses. With the proper western styling, it might even work for a country or pioneer theme wedding as a bridesmaid dress or a wedding dress.

These dresses have fitted seams in the bodice, a front slit vent style collar, a back zipper (and super wide, zippered cuffs on the long sleeve style), full, banded sleeves, and a wide ruffle along the bottom hem of the skirt. The front vent is trimmed in loop braiding and laces. A tie belt is built into the sides of the bodice. The long length dress style is designed to have a lace overlay on the bodice.

This pattern recommends lightweight cotton, cotton blends, challis, batiste, wool, or synthetic crepe. The fabric yardage estimates are not for fabrics with a nap, pile, or shading.

This pattern has been previously used (pre-cut), but it was very well cared for. All pieces are present, none are torn or significantly crumpled. It was folded up neatly after it was used. Both sheets of the instructions are also present. The envelope is split along both the top and bottom, and the front is torn into the image, so it is not really useable for decoupage projects.
