Here is a beautiful and charming full-color illustrated children's book from Childcraft, published in 1975. Each page is brimming with classic children's poems and rhymes, and huge (sometimes two-page) color illustrations in a variety of illustrative styles. A true delight for the eyes and ears!

The illustrative styles vary from chalk pastel drawings, watercolors, prints, photos, dioramas, paper cutting and folding, modeling, embroidery, and more! Poems include work by famous authors, including Gwendolyn Brooks, Dorothy Aldis, Robert Lewis Stevenson, Christina Rossetti, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Emily Dickenson, A. A. Milne, Robert Browning, and more, as well as classic nursery rhymes and folk poems from a variety of cultures. The back of the book includes several musical scores for classic children's songs like "Three Blind Mice."

Condition notes: The index pages include a few specks of grime. No apparent yellowing or foxing of the pages. This book has a "heritage" fabric bound hardcover binding, built to last. There is minor scuffing on the corners and top and bottom of the binding, but nothing significant. This book has a slight cigarette smell, stronger on some pages, which must have come from the previous owner's home, since I don't smoke. I have done my best to remove the smell but some is still lingering. I am selling this book as it is, and have tried to represent it accurately in the description and photos.
