Poufy vintage 1950's party, prom, cocktail dress.

*Outer material is a sheer weave nylon chiffon.

*Very light ivory to soft white in color

*Ruched horizontally on the midriff panel and vertically in the bust area.

*Low cut back.

*3 Rows of shell pink, Aurora Borealis, (AB), sequins line the bodice.

*Thin spaghetti like straps adorned with a row of sequins.

*Back metal zipper with hook and eye closures at waist and zipper top.

*Full, gathered skirt with deep hemline.

*Fully lined with ivory taffeta.

*Gathered netted petticoat for fullness underneath taffeta lining.

*Very good to excellent condition.
The dress has weathered the years very well - the outer garment is in pristine condition, with no stains or tears.

There are a few occasional inside stains, but otherwise all linings are intact.

No odors.

Measurements:
*Waist ~ 28" (71.2cm)
*Bust ~38" (96.5cm)
*Length from just under bust to waist 5 1/2" (~14cm)
*Skirt length from waist to hem 27" (69.5cm)

There are no manufacture's labels or size tags inside with the exception of one paper tag on the side hem that reads "style" and "size", but are blank.

This is a dress for a petite or small framed lady with a small waist and midriff and a large cup bra size.

If you aren't planning on wearing this dress, it would make a perfect addition to a vintage collection or be put to good use as a museum piece.
