Unisex Classic Penny Loafers!

*Made by Florsheim.

*Men's size 9 1/2D stamped on the inside leather.

*Penny Loafers were so named because they were originally worn with a shiny, new penny inserted in the upper "pocket". You can do the same for a total preppy look!

*Leather is a deep, rich mahogany color which can also be described as "chestnut brown", which is a deep brown with a touch of maroon or burgundy.

*Constructed of thick, sturdy, heavy leather. Unlined - what you see on the inside is the other side of the shiny outer leather.

*Thin leather or leather like lining 2/3 of the insole.

*Classic sewn outer heel welt and side "beef roll" stitching.

*Thick leather soles.

*Heavy duty rubber or rubber-like heel - stamped "Florsheim".

*Makers style numbers and size "9 1/2 D" stamped on the inside leather.

Very good vintage condition, and gently worn. There is some expected wear and scuffing to the original maroon colored leather sole, a bit of wear to the rubber heel, and some minor scuffs and creasing on the upper leather that gives it vintage charm.
Only one original "M" remains of the gold "FLORSHEIM lettering of the synthetic insole of the left shoe, but the ghost "FLORSHEIM" stamp remains in both insoles.

For the most part, the outer leather is in great shape with a few minor water marks on the tops. No holes, tears, scrapes, stains, fading, or unpleasant odors. I've only given these a light dusting, but they'll clean up beautifully with a bit of uncolored polish and a light buffing.

Inside length - 11" from toe to heel (27.8cm)
Inside arch - 2 3/4" (~7cm)
Inside heel area at widest part - 2 1/2" (6.3cm)

Toe - 5" (2" back from end of toe). Measured *around* the outer curve from top to top of outer sole - (12.6cm)
Instep - 8 1/4", measured at edge of tongue (~27cm)

From a clean, non-smoking home.

Shipped USPS uninsured First class mail, and securely wrapped in bubble mailer.

*Canada and international, for shipping savings, quotes are for USPS 1st class mail. In some cases, packages can be sent more quickly by USPS Priority mail, but rates will be higher. If you prefer a different shipping method, please let me know your preference upon checkout, and I'll send you a quote and work out the mailing details. I promptly mail within 24 hours, and sometimes the same day, so unless otherwise requested, your package will be sent quickly and via the method quoted.

*International destinations - quote here is based on Australia delivery, and is estimated. UK and EU destinations will most likely be less, and I'll refund any difference.

Payment is due upon purchase. Unpaid items will be held in my shop's sold section for 24 business hours, and unless I hear from you regarding late payment, the item will be relisted, invalidating the sale. Please contact me if you are having trouble with the payment process, and I'll be glad to help.

I am set up to accept Paypal and Amazon payments, but buyers can pay with major credit cards even if they aren't paypal users. Under some circumstances, for US paying customers, I will accept USPS Money Orders. Please contact me prior to sale if you have any payment questions.

*Custom orders will not ship until the final payment is received.

My policy is to ship within 24 business hours after payment. If you would like your purchase to go to another address, please contact me immediately upon checkout.

To keep costs down and with the exception of very fragile or expensive jewelry items, I usually ship small jewelry items wrapped securely in bubble wrap and in a bubble envelope and send by USPS First Class mail. I'll happily upgrade to Priority mail at the buyer's request, and in this case, postage will be more.

US mail quotes are now standard for all US destinations. If I've missed updating this in a particular individual listing, I apologize.

International rates are based on Australia delivery, and differences, (overpayments) to other countries will be rounded to the next dollar minus a $5.00 handling fee, and will be refunded.

I ship all my packages by USPS Mail, and generally my listings will state the shipping method, (First Class versus Priority). If you prefer a different shipping method, I'll be more than happy to accommodate you, but please contact me **immediately** upon checkout, because I ship very quickly.

Please note that International shipping can take longer periods of time for delivery, especially USPS First Class Mail, which can take weeks if not months, especially to the UK.

First Class mail is more affordable, but not insurable or traceable as is USPS Priority Mail. Please take this into consideration when selecting shipping for a purchase, or if you would like to request a different shipping method than is offered with the item.

*Because International packages sent by USPS FIRST CLASS MAIL *must* be taken to the Post Office in person and cannot be paid on line, I need to cover those expenses.

USPS Taxes and custom fees / duties or other charges that may be imposed by the receiving country are the responsibility of the buyer.

I do accept custom orders, but please understand that because of the extra time required for communication and for locating and purchasing special materials, (the cost of material and time obtaining them), the final price will be more than a ready to ship item in my studio. The benefit is that the buyer will get a special, one-of-a-kind item made especially for them.

Also note that if special materials are required, (that I don't have in stock), I generally cannot predict a precise expense for the item until the project is completed. Sometimes a particular material is harder to find, requiring time and/or mileage to locate, and the cost is unknown at the outset.

Also, if the requested item requires extra labor, that will figure into the final price.

Due to the time investment, and the uniqueness of custom orders, I require a non-refundable deposit of not less than of the *estimated* final price before the project is started.

I use sterling silver, vermeil, gold filled, or carat gold for all earwire/hangers, metal spacers and beads, and all bead components are secured with wrapped wires in sterling silver or vermeil. For this reason, my jewelry items should last for a very long time.

All sales of vintage clothing and accessory items are final. I've done my very best to inspect and describe each item, (including vintage), to include a detailed description of any inherent blemishes. If you require more photos of a certain piece, I'll be happy to provide them, and with no obligation to purchase the item.

If, for any reason, you aren't satisfied with your purchase, please contact me immediately and before leaving negative feedback, and I'll do everything in my power to solve the problem. Your satusfaction is my top priority!

Original items must be received by me within 14 days of contact to qualify for an exchange or refund. Return postage is the responsibility of the buyer.

Refunds and exchanges will be issued when the item is received by me in its original, unused condition. The shipping fee will not be refunded. Exchanges will be shipped once the original item is received.

Many people don't like to purchase hats that have been on a human head. For this reason, my hats have not been modeled on humans or worn prior to sale. Therefore, once a hat is sold, I cannot accept returns.

Because of the long eyelash yarns used in many of my winter crochet purses, (that would become entangled and worn away in zippers and closures), I haven't used magnetic snaps or zippers in their construction. Please keep this in mind when making a purchase.

In order to best showcase my products, I've used computer enhancing tools to show as much detail as possible, while trying to retain color integrity. However, please note that there may be slight color differences between computer monitors.
