The focals I used in this necklace are pan cut - when the sun hits the stones under a certain angle it seems like it sprinkles yellow flecks of liquid sun.

Being fond of eras gone by, Renaissance, Victorian and Tudor inspired jewelry is abundant in my work as you van see in this necklace. The central piece was hand formed from heavy gauge sterling silver wire and hammered for strength. It was then assembled and adorned with pristine laser cut lemon quartz rondelles and beer quartz tiny briolettes. Thai silver washers and beads bring a little extra interest to this elegant necklace.

Size of the central lemon quartz focal: 18mm x 12mm

Length of the necklace: 42cm + 5cm extender - (16 ½" + 2" extender)

All metal used is sterling silver that has been oxidised and polished.

All gemstones used are high quality (AA to AAA).

Lemon quartz is the vivid yellow variety of quartz and belongs to the same family as amethyst. Actually, I read it is created by heating amethyst, yellow quartz and iron together at extremely high temperatures (no to be tried at home..). Lemon quartz has a brilliant, yellow color. It is when light catches the facets that it truly comes to life.
