From the dust jacket:

"This complete reprinting of George Hepplewhite's book of furniture designs is a publishing achievement of the first importance which happily occurs at a time when the style is gaining widespread favor.

Hepplewhite was the foremost cabinet maker of the most elegant period of interior decoration - the eighteenth century. His was a day when dainty inlays,, painted and lacqured decoration and reserved carving vied with the finest cabinet work to make furniture a real art expression. No one who designs, makes or sells furniture or is in any way interested in decorative art can afford to be unfamiliar with this graphic reminder of some of the best furniture the eighteenth century has given us. In this volume, whichh echoes all the beauty of the original, are displayed types of furniture now ussed by even the most modern twentieth-century householder........"

Condition: Dust jacket is in good shape, a few minor scuffs and little bit of wear around the edges. The book is in good shape - minor yellowing - but binding is tight, no dog ears or foxing.
