A custom handmade guitar strap that is truly striking in its elegance and detail! The front of the guitar strap is thick, luxurious teal blue Dupioni silk. Overlaid on the silk and running the full length of the guitar strap is precision cut cream colored satin ribbon in a trellis pattern. At each intersection of the trellis are tiny embossed woven lines coming together at the ribbon junctures and, at the center of each juncture is a hand sewn delicate Swarovski pearl bead. The back lining of the guitar strap is luscious cream colored crushed crepe satin that just matches the front ribbon and the leather tabs are top quality cream colored suede leather stitched with white heavy waxed leather sewing thread.

The history of ribbon is actually really fascinating. Ribbon as an embellishment originated in China and made its way to Europe during the Medieval period. Ribbons of different colors were used by French and English nobility to designate their aristocratic status while commoners were prohibited by law from wearing ribbon. While the men and women of Europe were adorning their clothing, hats, shoes, and furniture with ribbon, Colonial America rejected the use of ribbon because of its association with English class hierarchy. It was not until the mid 1800's that ribbon came in to use in the United States and it is used today on virtually every kind of product, even guitar straps. I used this particular ribbon because it is not really a gender associated style. The clean lines and absence of floral or lace accents give it, actually, a somewhat masculine character. This particular ribbon is produced by CM Offray, one of premier ribbon companies in the world since it was first established in 1876.

My guitar straps are amazingly comfortable. The 3 inch width allows for weight distribution over 50% more area than conventional guitar straps and even solid body bass players have commented on how comfortable my guitar straps are. Further, because there are 3 bottom layers of fabric between your shoulder and the polypropylene foundation, there is a soft cushion to help further distribute the weight of your guitar without holding the body heat that standard lamb's wool shoulder pads retain, so your strap is soft, cool, and comfortable. No more aching neck or shoulder and no more pressure points.

Nothing pleases me more than coming up with unique designs for my guitar straps. This really is one of my best, I think, detailed, precise, and visually arresting. Hope you like it.

SHIPPING TIME - All my US shipments are USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation and usually have a 2-3 day delivery window from the date of shipment, though this is not guaranteed by the US Post Office.

INTERNATIONAL PATRONS - International shipments are by US Post Office Registered Mail and can take several weeks for delivery. Please note that the shipping price does not include any customs expenses you may encounter.

CONSTRUCTION - The guitar strap foundation is 3 inch wide (7.62 centimeters) and 6 foot long (1.83 meters) 2000-pound test commercial grade polypropylene strap material. The strap adjusts from a maximum length of 6 feet (1.83 meters) to a minimum length of 39 inches (.99 meters) using commercial grade black plastic adjustment bars.

LEATHER TABS - The leather tabs are comprised of a 3 inch by 8 inch section of top quality leather, folded over a commercial grade plastic anchor bar and trimmed to shape. The two sides of the leather are then glued with commercial strength tanner glue and double whip stitched with heavy waxed leather sewing thread designed specifically for stitching leather. The button hole is hand punched and cut to precisely fit a standard 12mm guitar pin.

CARE AND CLEANING - Should your guitar strap become stained or grimy, have it dry cleaned or hand wash it keeping the leather tabs dry. Do not machine wash it.
