An All American custom handmade guitar strap in red, white, and blue, with sparkling gold stars! This is a very heavy woven cotton with Americana style patterning of cream white, dark red, and dark blue with gold glitter stars sprinkled throughout. The stripes are positioned so that the left side of the guitar strap has a narrow band of cream white and the right side has a narrow band of dark red, with a wide dark blue stripe dominating the center of the guitar strap. Then, gold sparkling glitter stars cover the entire strap. The back lining of the guitar strap is red Duchess satin and the leather tabs are top quality black premium suede leather.

The artistic style of the fabric on this guitar strap is called Americana, which tries to capture the rough hewn existence of America's first colonists. Art was often rendered on old wood, burlap sacks, and scrap metal, the canvases of the day. Americana art represented the images and experiences of everyday life, usually revolving around agricultural farm life-- crowing roosters, cattle, crops, weather vanes. As the cry for independence grew among the colonists, more of the art involved patriotic images with the stars and stripes becoming the quintessential patriotic symbol. The fabric and imagery on this guitar strap reflect the patriotic fervor that led to the Revolutionary War and still drives our embrace of American exceptionalism. I am very proud of this guitar strap both as an artisan and as an American.

Further, because there are 3 bottom layers of fabric between your shoulder and the polypropylene foundation, there is a soft cushion to help further distribute the weight of your guitar without holding the body heat that standard lamb's wool shoulder pads retain, so your strap is soft, cool, and comfortable. No more aching neck or shoulder and no more pressure points.

CONSTRUCTION - The guitar strap foundation is 3 inch wide (7.62 centimeters) and 6 foot long (1.83 meters) 2000-pound test commercial grade polypropylene strap material. The strap adjusts from a maximum length of 6 feet (1.83 meters) to a minimum length of 39 inches (.99 meters).

STITCHING - All the stitching on this guitar strap is done by hand. Whip stitching runs the full length of the strap on both sides, anchoring the top and bottom fabrics to the polypropylene strap material foundation.

LEATHER TABS - The leather tabs are comprised of a 3 inch by 8 inch section of top quality leather, folded over a commercial grade plastic anchor bar and trimmed to shape. The two sides of the leather are then glued with commercial strength tanner glue and double whip stitched with heavy waxed leather sewing thread designed specifically for stitching leather. The button hole is hand punched and cut to precisely fit a standard 12mm guitar pin.
