This wonderful guitar strap, handmade using an authentic Mexican blanket imported from Guatemala, will absolutely thrill you. It is comprised of loom woven heavy cotton displaying both extremely wide and narrow horizontal stripes in a vast array of colors including red, orange, white, black, dark and light brown, antique gold, peach, pink, pastel, lime, and dark green, lavender, purple, and violet. Despite all the colors, this is not a busy guitar strap. The color blending is very finely done, pleasing to the eye, never jarring. It is simply mesmerizing. The back lining of the guitar strap is dark brown thick Duchess satin and the leather tabs are chocolate brown premium suede leather.

Mexican blankets are recognized as emblematic of Mexican and Central American culture and are a staple export item in the Mexican economy. Almost every small village has a collective of weavers who stand at their large looms and weave these magnificent blankets. Domestically produced blankets in the US mimic the beauty of these blankets but often lack comparable thickness and often use polyester threads rather than cotton. Once you have touched a genuine, cotton, loom woven Mexican blanket you will always be able to tell the difference. Their thickness and softness are unsurpassed.

My guitar straps are amazingly comfortable. The 3 inch width allows for weight distribution over 50% more area than conventional guitar straps and even solid body bass players have commented on how comfortable my guitar straps are. Further, because there are 3 bottom layers of fabric between your shoulder and the polypropylene foundation, there is a soft cushion to help further distribute the weight of your guitar without holding the body heat that standard lambs wool shoulder pads retain, so your strap is soft, cool, and comfortable. No more aching neck or shoulder and no more pressure points.

Fabric quality is of paramount importance to me in making my guitar straps. If it is pretty but insubstantial I cannot and will not use it. Guitar straps take a beating over time and need to be up to the task. Tight-woven thick cotton, like this guitar strap, is an extremely durable material.

CONSTRUCTION - The guitar strap foundation is 3 inch wide (7.62 centimeters) and 6 foot long (1.83 meters) 2000-pound test commercial grade polypropylene strap material. The strap adjusts from a maximum length of 6 feet (1.83 meters) to a minimum length of 39 inches (.99 meters).

LEATHER TABS - The leather tabs are comprised of a 3 inch by 8 inch section of top quality leather, folded over a commercial grade plastic anchor bar and trimmed to shape. The two sides of the leather are then glued with commercial strength tanner glue and double whip stitched with heavy waxed leather sewing thread designed specifically for stitching leather. The button hole is hand punched and cut to precisely fit a standard 12mm guitar pin.
