This blue satin and white eyelet lace handmade guitar strap is just perfect for that country music girl who wants to have a unique and unforgettable stage presence. The guitar strap is royal blue Duchess satin overlaid with beautiful commercially made white eyelet lace. The lace is 2 1/2 inches wide (6.4 cm) with large extended scalloped edges. In the center of each scallop is an embroidered oval filled with flower blossoms, a small circle of eyelets, and a simple flower. In the center of each flower is one hand stitched tiny pearlized glass seed bead of pastel pink, green, yellow, or lavender. This lace is filled with several additional intriguing details beyond those I have described. The back lining of the guitar strap is soft powder blue Duchess satin and the leather tabs are premium quality black suede leather.

Eyelet lace is typically made by creating holes in a lightly woven cotton fabric, then embroidering around the holes to create a repeating image pattern, usually a blend of geometric and floral images. While its history is obscure, some textiles historians speculate that it was developed as an ornamental remedy to salvage damaged cloth. While it is plain at first glance, the white on white patterning makes it, in fact, very ornate, very visually complex.

CONSTRUCTION - The guitar strap foundation is 3 inch wide (7.62 centimeters) and 6 foot long (1.83 meters) 2000-pound test commercial grade polypropylene strap material. The strap adjusts from a maximum length of 6 feet (1.83 meters) to a minimum length of 39 inches (.99 meters).

STITCHING - All the stitching on this guitar strap is done by hand. Whip stitching runs the full length of the strap on both sides, anchoring the top and bottom fabrics to the polypropylene strap material foundation.

LEATHER TABS - The leather tabs are comprised of a 3 inch by 8 inch section of top quality leather, folded over a commercial grade plastic anchor bar and trimmed to shape. The two sides of the leather are then glued with commercial strength tanner glue and double whip stitched with heavy waxed leather sewing thread designed specifically for stitching leather. The button hole is hand punched and cut to precisely fit a standard 12mm guitar pin.
