If you appreciate the Southwest Native American style and look, you will love this custom handmade guitar strap. The top fabric is a cotton turquoise-dominated print that simulates the intricate beading patterns typical of Native American folk art. The beading style replicated on this fabric is typical of traditional Navajo beadwork with its tight geometric images and intense color contrasts using red, orange, yellow, brown, light blue, black, white, and multiple shades of turquoise. The back lining of the guitar strap is shimmering turquoise Dupioni silk and the leather tabs are premium quality black suede leather.

My guitar straps are amazingly comfortable. The 3 inch width allows for weight distribution over 50% more area than conventional guitar straps and even solid body bass players have commented on how comfortable my guitar straps are. Further, because there are 3 bottom layers of fabric between your shoulder and the polypropylene foundation, there is a soft cushion to help further distribute the weight of your guitar without holding the body heat that standard lambs wool shoulder pads retain, so your strap is soft, cool, and comfortable. No more aching neck or shoulder and no more pressure points.

I really love Southwest Native American folk arts, especially beadwork, but found that doing the beading myself or buying it from a certified Native American supplier would make my guitar straps prohibitively expensive. I opted for fabrics that respectfully and accurately represent this beadwork style. I hope you like this guitar strap!

CONSTRUCTION - The guitar strap foundation is 3 inch wide (7.62 centimeters) and 6 foot long (1.83 meters) 2000-pound test commercial grade polypropylene strap material. The strap adjusts from a maximum length of 6 feet (1.83 meters) to a minimum length of 39 inches (.99 meters).

STITCHING - All the stitching on this guitar strap is done by hand. Whip stitching runs the full length of the strap on both sides, anchoring the top and bottom fabrics to the polypropylene strap material foundation.

LEATHER TABS - The leather tabs are comprised of a 3 inch by 8 inch section of top quality leather, folded over a commercial grade plastic anchor bar and trimmed to shape. The two sides of the leather are then glued with commercial strength tanner glue and double whip stitched with heavy waxed leather sewing thread designed specifically for stitching leather. The button hole is hand punched and cut to precisely fit a standard 12mm guitar pin.
