This pattern is for the Crocheted Matryosha Russian nesting dolls, also known as Russian Babushka Dolls. The original Russian dolls are handmade from wood and meticulously hand painted, with detailed and intricate designs. Obviously that much detail cannot be obtained in crochet, but this is my variation on those adorable dolls. Instructions are included for all 3 sizes - large 5-1/2 tall, medium 4 tall and small 2-1/2 tall.
