Glow in the Dark Gold Kokopelli Dancers and Suns Tribal Candle Holder

Product Description

This unique Tribal themed candle holder features four Kokopelli flute players dancing around the glass container alternated with four yellow suns. The Kokopelli flute players were sculpted by hand from gold polymer clay and rubbed with gold Pearl Ex powder for an incredible shimmer. The center of their body is filled with teal blue Gallery Glass. The sun shapes were also sculpted from gold polymer clay and rubbed with gold Pearl Ex powder. Their centers are filled with bright yellow Gallery Glass. The top and bottom trim is sculpted from green polymer clay and stamped with sun shapes, then rubbed with gold Pearl Ex powder. I glazed the entire piece, and while the glaze was still wet sprinkled glow in the dark powder on the glass and the suns. I then sealed the entire piece with another coat of high gloss glaze. The effect of the glow in the dark powder is just amazing! It brings a truly magical touch to this piece, which can be used as a candle holder or a container for those special trinkets. This piece measures 3 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches wide.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

I created this piece as an entry in the Polymer Clay Smooshers Tribal themed Challenge. I love the sense of movement as the flute players dance around the glass, chasing the sun. And when the light shines through the colored Gallery Glass it produces a stained glass effect- just beautiful! And at night, after charging in bright light for a few hours, the jar will continue to glow for several hours.
