This fun Halloween stash jar was created by covering a 2.5 ounce glass baby food jar and metal lid with orange polymer clay. Then I stamped a spider web design around the jar and on the lid. I dusted the unbaked clay with purple Pearl Ex powder and attached two black cats and two ghosts to the jar. The cats have glow in the dark eyes and textured fur, and the ghosts were made from glow in the dark clay. Their eyes and mouths were painted with black acrylic paint. Purple and black beads circle the base of the jar, and a line of glow in the dark dimensional paint adds interest above the beads. The lid has purple beads around the edge and a spider made from glass beads. Her body is a deep blue, almost black bead, and her head is a smaller black bead. Her legs were beaded on floral wire and consist of iridescent seed beads and red tube beads. The top of her head and her back have a marking made from glow in the dark dimensional paint and I even gave her eyes and a mouth with this paint. I sealed the lid and jar with two coats of high gloss glaze and covered the bottom of the jar with orange felt. The jar measures about 3 1/2 inches tall and would be perfect for storing your tiny treasures. And you can even find it in the dark!

I just have so much fun creating Halloween themed items! And this is a much better use for empty baby food jars than just throwing them in the trash! Halloween and glow in the dark effects just go hand in hand, which is why you'll see these effects in so many of my pieces. Even if you never put a thing in this jar, it would make a wonderful decoration! ;-)
