This beautiful iridescent pin was sculpted by hand from from polymer clay and dusted with gold, blue and green Pearl Ex powders for a lovely shimmering effect. A line of iridescent glass beads runs down the center of the feather brooch and is securely attached to the polymer clay with wire and liquid polymer clay. I coated the feather with high gloss glaze to protect the powders and enhance their shine. The feather measures 4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide and would make a lovely accessory to any outfit. The one inch metal pin back was secured to the back of the brooch with liquid polymer clay. I've also signed the back of the brooch so you know this is an original creation.

This pin was inspired by Christi Friesen's "Birds of a Feather" book. As with all her projects, Christi makes it easy for the artist to make it their own and take the project in their own direction. I love the way the blue, green, and gold Pearl Ex powders flow together, and the beads add the perfect accent.
