This whimsical Christmas ornament could be either a dragon or a dinosaur. He is an original creation and was sculpted by hand in Premo polymer clay. I used a foil armature for his body and tail to make the sculpture stronger and lighter. This critter has a red belly and claws, with the belly textured to look like plates. Each of the dragon/ dinosaur's green scales was cut out individually, making for a very unique and detailed piece. He has sparkling green polymer clay eyes with pupils that were painted with black acrylic paint and sealed with high gloss glaze. This cute Christmas critter also wears a red and green striped scarf and a red and white Santa hat. What could be more festive? A wire loop for hanging has been embedded in the sculpture and was secured with liquid polymer clay and additional polymer clay then baked into the sculpture. This unique ornament measures about 4 inches tall and would make a fun addition to any Christmas tree this holiday season.

As I was sculpting this fun and festive critter I really couldn't decide whether I wanted him to be a dinosaur or a dragon. Once he was finished I realized he could be either one, so I'll let you decide what he is ;-)
