This colorful peacock wall hanging was sculpted by hand in Premo polymer polymer clay and is a one of a kind creation. The peacock was sculpted in shades of blue and accented with blue iridescent Pearl Ex powders. A variety of glass and acrylic beads and findings were added to give this bird even more color and sparkle.Bright red accents were added to the wing and tail feathers using red glitter Gallery Glass. Three small mirrors were embedded at the base of the peacock's tail feathers and are framed by tiny iridescent metal seed beads and red glitter Gallery Glass. Crystal, blue, and white pearl beads are embedded at the end of each tail feather. and the bird was textured before being baked. The peacock is sitting on a branch covered in leaves and flowers. For added strength a wire runs through the branch and the polymer clay vines have been twisted around the same wire, which serves as a hanger. The leaves have veins pressed into them and some leaves have been highlighted with green Pearl Ex powder. The flowers range in color from pink to deep purple and some have been highlighted with blue Pearl Ex powder. All the flowers have beads in the center, and each is unique. All the beads and findings in this piece have been securely attached with wire and liquid polymer clay. I gave the entire piece two coats of high gloss varnish for added protection and shine. The peacock measures 5 1/2 inches tall, and the entire piece is 7 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide. This unique wall hanging will add a spark of color to any wall in your home!
