These unique and colorful peacock and flower earrings were sculpted by hand in Premo polymer clay. The peacocks have a purple body, blue wings, and blue and purple tail feathers. The peacocks each measure about 2 1/4 inches tall from the bottom of the tail to the top of the beaded crest. The full length of the earrings, including the flowers is about 3 inches long. The birds have been embellished with glass and acrylic beads for added interest and sparkle. I used purple Pearl Ex powder on their tails, golden yellow Pearl Ex powder on their beaks and green Pearl Ex powder on their crest. I sealed the entire bird with two coats of high gloss varnish. The iridescent purple flowers were sculpted onto a surgical steel post and secured with liquid polymer clay. The flowers are backed with green leaves each have a pink bead in the center. They measure about one inch across. They've also been sealed with high gloss varnish. Wearing these pretty peacocks is sure to make you want to strut your stuff!

These colorful peacock earrings were inspired by a peacock necklace project from Christi Friesen. I love her whimsical animal projects and enjoy taking them in my own direction to create something truly unique!
