This pretty pink heart pendant was sculpted from Premo polymer clay and stamped with a paisley design. Before baking I rubbed the raised surfaces with pink Pearl Ex powder for a lovely iridescent shimmer. A metal eye pin was inserted in the unbaked clay after being coated with liquid polymer clay. This ensures that the eye pin will not pull out of the heart. After baking I coated the entire heart with two coats of high gloss varnish to add durability and protect the the Pearl Ex powder. The pendant measures two inches tall and two inches wide. This would make a lovely stand alone pendant, or an eye catching addition to a more elaborate necklace.

With Valentines Day approaching I've been inspired to create a wide variety of hearts. I enjoy the effect achieved by stamping polymer clay and highlighting the raised surfaces with different Pearl Ex powders. This can truly transform a simple heart into something so much more beautiful!
