This sculpture of a scarecrow in a pumpkin patch has a sign that can be personalized with any name or short message you choose. The scarecrow was sculpted by hand in Premo polymer clay and measures 5 inches tall. He's wearing blue overalls with a pocket on the chest and red buttons securing the shoulder straps. He's wearing a bright red shirt, which helps him stand out in the garden ;-) He has yellow "straw" hair and is wearing a real straw hat. He has a cheerful smile, a cute red nose, and bright blue eyes which were painted with acrylic paint and sealed with high gloss glaze. Rather than scaring the crows away he seems to have befriended three of them. Each crow was sculpted in black Premo polymer clay and has tiny black seed bead eyes. A crow is perched on each of the scarecrows arms and one is sitting on the sign. The scarecrow stands in a field with five orange pumpkins which are surrounded by bright yellow flowers. Each leaf and flower was individually cut out and sculpted, adding to the detail of the piece. The green base measures 2 3/4 inches wide and 3 inches long. The sign was painted green with acrylic paint and "CHELLE'S GARDEN" was printed with permanent black marker. The sign measures two inches long and one inch tall and was sealed with high gloss glaze. This sculpture is customizable and I can write any name or short message on the scarecrow's sign. I can feel Fall in the air, and that always seems to inspire me to create scarecrows in pumpkin patches! Of course my scarecrows aren't very scary, and always seem to make friends with the crows they're supposed to be scaring off ;-)

The scarecrow, crows, pumpkins, leaves, flowers, and base were all sculpted from Premo polymer clay. The scarecrow's eyes were painted with acrylic paint and sealed with high gloss glaze. The scarecrow's hat is a purchased straw hat from the craft store
