This unique handmade sterling silver heart sweater pin with deep red garnet gemstone is just what you need for this holiday season. It is also the birthstone for the month of January. Since it's winter and most are wearing sweaters, shawls or scarves, this would make a lovley gift. This sweater pin is in a beautiful heart shape with wire wrapped deep red garnets and has a stick pin to keep the pin on your clothing.

I started out with a thick sterling silver wire to form the heart and the stick pin. The faceted deep red garnets are wired on with sterling silver wire. The pin was lightly hammered, oxidized for that rustic old world look, then tumbled to strengthen the wires and to polish the pin to a fine shine.

The pin is 2 3/8 inches in length by 1 5/8 inches in width. The stick pin is 3 3/8 inches in length.
