Not full sized at the winding end and not 'mini' this is a MIDI sized nostie at 7.5". Winding end is 3.5" long, handle is 4" long with a sleek, thin, design with lots of groves for grip. Great Nostepinne for small hands or delicate wrists. Beautiful warm pecan with darker accents occurring in the turning.

This is a MIDI nostepinne made from wood felled by Hurricane Katrina."My husband, John, learned to spin wool right alongside of me when we were displaced from our home due to Hurricane Katrina. We were so enamored with all the steps from sheep to socks, sweaters, blankets, or shawls, that we learned to make tools needed for spinning.
Each nostepinne is hand turned, made of wood collected by John as he had to adventure into our Pre-Katrina neighborhood, near New Orleans, to clear timber...all part of his responsibilities with the U.S. Coast Guard. Each nostepinne is a 'little bit of Katrina history'.
