Pink and white glass cabachons form the center of this abstract, one of a kind, artisan butterfly cuff. The bead embroidery is done in multiple shades of pink. Four of the five pinks are color lined clear beads. Color lined clear seed beads in pink, light pink, medium pink and strawberry pink join with ceylon pearl white Delicas, Ornela Czech seed beads in rainbow gel pink, and opaque black beads in sizes 11 and 15 to form the body of the butterfly and the outline. Two black 4mm Swarovski bicones create the antennae of the butterfly and add some extra sparkle. The clear glass of the inside color seed beads reflects the light and adds lots of extra shimmer to this cuff. I cut the backing of the cuff to resemble a butterfly.

The cuff is 2 1/2 inches (approx. 6.35 cm.) wide at it's widest part. They peyote toggle and loop closure is adjustable so this cuff will fit a wrist between 6 1/2 inches (approx.16.31cm.) and 7 1/2 inches (approx.18.85 cm.). Since this cuff is wide, I made the peyote toggle a little longer than I usually do. This one is 2 inches (5.08cm.) long. Both the toggle and the loops are done in color lined strawberry pink and color lined light pink. The toggle ends each have a 4mm fire polished Czech crystal in light pink with an AB (aurora borealis) finish.

The base of the cuff is embroidered on strong interfacing and backed with ultra suede that has been "painted" with a bright pink fabric marker to add a some fun color to even the back of the cuff. I have also signed and dated the back of the cuff.

The idea for this cuff came about by accident. I was looking through my stash of stones and cabachons and had set these stones out of the container so I could see what was under them. I didn't find what I was looking for, and when I went to get these cabs to put them away, the way they were laying next to each other just prompted my muse to yell "Butterfly cuff !!".
