Handmade pure copper and red and Fire Opal Swarovski crystal brooch.
I took a long piece of round, heavy gauge, pure copper wire and twisted it to make a big spiral, but I didn't want it to just end... It would seem unfinished! So I made it end with a twist! Then I hammered it flat, and hammered it some more to add that wonderful texture it now possesses.
Now I'm looking at it and thinking it needs some bling! So I add a big red crystal in the center, and a 4mm Swarovski Fire Opal crystal to the smaller loop.
To enhance the beautiful texture I oxidized the copper, cleaned and polished it again, then covered it with Jewelry Shield to keep it from oxidizing more. This also makes the crystals' colors pop!
It's a wonderful brooch, that you can also use as a shawl pin, perfect to add some uniqueness and beauty to your unique beautiful self!

Size: It's 7 cm long by 4,5 cm wide and the pin behind the spirals is 9 cm long.

Alfinete de peito de cobre puro, feito à mão, com cristal vermelho e cristal Swarovski Fire Opal.
Peguei num longo bocado de fio de cobre puro, redondo e bem grosso a moldei-o em forma de espiral, mas não queria que ela simplesmente acabasse... Pareceria inacabada! Por isso terminei-a com uma reviravolta final! De seguida martelei-a até ficar plana, e depois martelei-a ainda mais para lhe conferir a maravilhosa textura que agora possui.
Parei para olhar bem para ela e fico a pensar que agora precisa de algum brilho! Então, acrescento-lhe um cristal vermelho grande ao centro da espiral maior, e um cristal Swarovski Fire Opal de 4 mm no arco mais pequeno.
Para realçar a beleza da textura oxidei o cobre, limpei-o, poli-o novamente, e cobri-o com Jewelry Shield (uma espécie de verniz próprio para joalharia) para impedir que o cobre oxide muito mais. Isto também faz com que as cores dos cristais saltem à vista!
Este é um alfinete de peito lindíssimo, que também pode usar como alfinete de xaile, perfeito para acrescentar alguma exclusividade e beleza à sua própria originalidade e beleza!

Tamanho: Tem 7 cm de comprimento por 4,5 cm de largura e o alfinete por trás da espiral tem 9 cm de comprimento.
