Product Description
Vintage 12.6" Buttercup sterling silver soup ladle with a decorated, gold-washed bowl; made by Gorham. It is monogrammed "ECJ". The back of the handle has the old "lion-anchor-G" Gorham markings, the "Sterling" hallmark, "Patent 1900," and the stamp of the New York jeweler, "A. Frankfield & Co." Very Fine to Excellent condition, with the caveat that there is significant wear to the gold wash in the bowl.
