Check out this decadent black and purple cloak! It is fully lined, with an over-sized hood, and 100% handmade in Canada. This is a one-of-a-kind item that will never be duplicated in these fabrics again.

Approximately 12 meters of purple satin and black satin embellished with lace and a crushed effect went in to this piece. It was made for an XL size but cloaks are pretty forgiving in the size department. Just have a look at the measurements:

1.52m from neck to bottom hem (about 5 feet)
4.72m in circumference (about 15 1/2 feet)
and the hood is 52cm from front to back(over a meter or 3.4 feet all together)

It closes at the neck with an antiqued silver tone clasp. This would make an amazing formal cape for the romantic gothic bride, or an extremely high end vampire, wizard or witch costume.

It was one of those strange moments where I went in to the fabric store and spotted an extremely beautiful fabric that I HAD to make something out of - It reminded me of Christine Daaé's cloak from Phantom of the Opera in the graveyard scene.

Unfortunately I have no personal use for this gorgeous black cape, but maybe you do! I made it about four years ago and it has hung in the back of the closet ever since, never having been worn.
