Vintage VERY VERY dark spinach green nephrite jade semiprecious stone B grade beads that we purchased in Taiwan in 1985.
I purchased these beads for earrings I was designing for the Smithsonian's museum shops and mail order catalog.
Nephrite comes in all colors ranging from this dark and subdued to a lighter and somewhat brighter color. Green has always been the most popular color and few people even know the other colors exist.
