Reserved This listing is for 2 rovings. October's Party is a 4oz Falkland Combed Top Roving was dyed in a colorway inspired by the poem. The colors are all those you see when the leaves change colors in the fall. There are burnt oranges, bits of green and red, browns, and even some hints of purple. Imagine all of those colors in a huge pile of leaves ready for you to dive on in. This Polwarth is a very soft and squishy roving that you will enjoy using. I find it next to skin soft and lovely!

I found this roving to be a bit difficult to photo the true color as the orange is more prominent and the other colors are more muted. I have tried to describe it as best as I can. Please understand that monitors differ as well and the color that you see may not be the color that I see on mine. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask and I will answer them to the best of my abilities!

The Polwarth will felt so I recommend washing your finished project by hand in cool water and lay flat to dry unless felting is your desired effect. This will make soft felted projects too. I find this Combed Top Roving to be next to skin soft for all of your fun projects though it is not quiet as soft as merino. These are all hand dyed by me with professional acid based dyes. Also though I do my best to wash and rinse all dye out of my roving you may find that when you spin it up and wash it there is a small amount of color leakage. This is normal and should only happen the first few times if that.

October's Party

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came-
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.

Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."
