In the center is the sun - Taawa. Above the sun are the symbols of the Earth, the Fourth World to the Hopi, and below the Moon. Radiating from the sun are markings representing the Milky Way. Within the stars are corn plants, a symbol of the four directions. All is encompassed by a rainbow - a symbol of life.

This print is from an original painting created on deerskin that was sent aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour in 1994. Placed with the "Earth Bundle" was a Paaho, a prayer feather for blessings of the the Astronauts journey. The original is on display at the Lunar Planetary Laboratory located at The University of Arizona, Tucson Arizona.

Our prints are printed on heavy weight matte paper using archival ink. Each print is matted with a bevel cut buffed-pH neutral matte board and backed with a acid free board. Total size of artwork framed with matte board is 11 by 14 inches. A description card is included on the artwork. Print is then packaged in a clear resealable envelope for protection. Matted print will fit a standard frame and does not require custom framing.
