This plate is made with the reverse decoupage method. We start with a clear tempered glass plate, that is new, and apply the design to the back side of the glass. Several layers of glue are applied to the back and the edge of the plate to seal it. Several layers of polyurethane to the edge and spray polyurethane on the back to seal the plate.

The plates are primarily for decoration. They can be used to hold cookies, truffles and candies, keys, candle holders, You can find decorative plate stands to go with your decor. Home improvement stores also sell plate holders that securely hold the plate so it can be hung on the wall without damaging the plate.
