This simply constructed by sturdy little creature is abut 3 cm tall and a little less than 1 cm wide. It is made of a lusciously detailed brass stamping that has a higher copper content than usual, therefore it has strong and warm coppery tone. The phoenix has been oxidized, burnished and sealed so that it will retain it's warm glow and will not stain your favorite ties.

The tie tack has a small pick at the back, which will help keep the phoenix from shifting on your tie or your lapel. It is held in place by a low profile pin back that won't poke you in the belly or make your tie or your lapel stick out. No fussy chains and bars, either! This particular pin back makes this accessory very versatile, useful as a traditional tie-tack or lapel pin or even as a hat pin or as a collectible.
