The dichroic glass cabs, aka fused glass, came
to me from Kerry Collett. She asked that I
might collaborate with her, to which I naturally
said, yes! I sat and pondered the cabs for
many days before deciding what to do with this
set. I wanted to do something that would truly
show their beautiful colors and the shape of
them put together. I dumped every bead I had
that matched on my table, and that was quite a
few tubes and containers! I like texture, so
there are lots of pearls, Czech glass and
Swarovski crystals woven into the fringe! I
wanted the fringe to be plush, so the 'branches'
are VERY close together, every 2 seed beads,
up the main branch! The 'beaded beads' aren't
actually beaded beads, but Tubular RAW
woven with different size beads, then slightly
embellished. The rest of the rope is done in
RAW as well with an embellished toggle/loop
closure. The Pendant itself is 2 1/2" in width
and from top of pendant to bottom of fringe is
5". The length of this piece is 22 1/2".
