Our Pierced Petalon wood hair fork/comb is amazingly comfortable and will hold your hair up well while looking stunning,BOLD and beautiful. Our forks will not disappear in your hair, they are meant to be seen and decorative as well as functional!

Made from Cardinal or Blood wood,this beautiful Fork has a Glimmery red to orange color , with lots of shimmery chatoyance in the grain pattern. The wood flashed and glows, pictures cannot capture it! This is a dense wood. The shape represents petals and we chose the Greek word for leaf, petalon as the name to this shape. This is our new Pierced Top collection!

The tines(functional prong length)are approximately 4.25 inches long(11.1cm) and the width across the tines is approximately 1.5 inches(4 cm) The width of the decorative top is about 2.75inches (7 cm). Total length is 5.5 inches(14cm). This fork weighs 1.4 ounces!

There is a gentle curve to all our forks to fit the shape of your head.We are now marking all of our hair art with our makers mark.

We sand our sticks and forks extensively. As WE have long hair also,we understand and do not want anything that would pull, catch or damage the hair in any way.
Stacy has been a master woodworker for over 25 years and has designed many unique pieces of furniture and sculpture. His attention to detail and skilled hands make these hair forks not only functional, fun and beautiful , but sturdy, well balanced and pieces of art!
Kim has a degree in studio art and the combination of her paintings, wood burnings and embellishments with Stacy's designs and magic with wood make each of these hair forks heirloom quality and designed.

We make each of these by hand so we will gladly accommodate requests for longer/shorter tines.We use a pattern so that you know if you order another it will be very close to the same shape. We also do custom embellishing , if you would like a different stone or something carved.An additional fee may apply.

How to care for your wooden hair toys!
1. Do not store them in the sun ,that includes in the car or by a window. But wear them in the sun and be happy!
2. Do not drop them!
3. Do not use them as a screwdriver or paint can opener!
4.They are natural wood, they CAN break...put as little sideways pressure as possible on them. WE do take hair pressures into account and under normal hair updos they should be fine, including lots of hair!
5.Do not let the dog have it!;0)
6.Even though they are sealed and would weather rain ,do not swim or shower in them!
7.ENJOY!

If you drop or break your fork we will try to salvage it for a small fee or possibly give a discount on a new one(at our discretion) if it is not salvageable. We understand that life, kids, pets, and accidents happen! (salvageable would be, for example, to turn a broken 3 tine fork into a 2 tine and a single stick. We do not feel that a glue-up would always be an acceptable way to save a fork.)
