Hand carved from selected American hardwoods, all my spoons are carefully shaped then sanded by hand through many steps before being treated to several coats of my Board Balm, a mixture of food safe mineral oil and beeswax that protects the spoons and enhances the rich, natural wood tones.


This set includes one spoon that measures 12" long and 2" wide at the bowl, a second spoon that is 12" long and 2 5/8" wide and a third spoon that is 14" long and 2 5/8 wide. They are a perfect match for my spatulas. These spoons are available in Oak, Cherry and Maple, and one other size. Custom sizes or woods upon request. Care is easy, just wash in hot soapy water, towel dry, and apply some mineral oil every couple of weeks or you can buy some of my Board Balm which is a Beeswax and mineral oil blend. A four ounce jar lasts for years and it will help to keep your spoons looking and feeling good for many years.

I do most of the cooking in our household and have always reached my old wooden cooking tools first. One day after cleaning up my shop & trying to figure out where to store all the short pieces of hardwood that seem to multiply on their own every night I went in to start dinner & really looked at the old spatulas and wooden spoons I was using. They were looking pretty beat up after many years of faithful service. After dinner I collected most of my wooden cooking tools & went back out to the shop. Most of them had straight handles, either squared off or round. I realized I really liked the one that had a wider, more sculpted handle. Then I looked at the various blade ends & chose the ones I reached for most often. These great spoons are the end result.
