This wall sculpture is made from 1x3 pine stock for the pediment element and 3/8" x 3/4" pine stock for the grid element. The circle and vertical "waves" are cut and shaped from 1/4" solid pine stock. Dowel elements are made from 1/2" and 1/4" hardwood stock. The sculpted grid is hand sawed and shaped with rasp, files and sandpaper. A primer and a minimum of three coats of high quality acrylic paint with a satin sheen is applied to the entire assembly.

This wall sculpture is meant to be mounted so that the arch stands off the wall approximately 1/4" allowing the grid to hang free from the wall creating interesting shadow patterns. Accent lighting would enhance the interest.

The somewhat neutral black and red colors were used so the sculpture can be displayed almost anywhere. However, custom color combination can be applied as requested. Contact me via the "Contact Seller" link to discuss the many possibilities.
