Little Glass Flowers, from the island of Murano in Venice, Italy

Millefiore is one of my favorite kinds of glass to collect, to create. Each glass flower, heart, star or abstract design is a slice from a handmade rod of glass. It's a centuries-old glassmaking technique attributed to the Venetians.

I created small slabs of millefiore, fused them, cut them and cemented them into 1" x 1" silver pendant squares. Your choice...photos 1-3 show the design with the heart and flowers millefiore. Photos 5-7 show the star and abstract design. Photo #4 shows both.

Your pendant is ready to slip on a chain or choker.
