Celtic spiral images are engraved along with an embeded trinity symbol into the four posts of an etched glass cross. The sandblasted details of other decorative and lightly shaded spirals in the border on the front surface of the glass add a 3d feel to this artistic drink coaster.

* Sandblasted on two surfaces to give an added 3d effect. Deep carved on the reverse and flat frost and shading on the front.

The back surface of the coaster is deep carved with the Celtic spiral cross image within the 4" x 4" x 3/16" thick clear glass and includes 3m Bumpon furniture protective pads. These pads can be removed in case you want to display this piece strictly as a home or office accent. They are considered functional art pieces. Just keep in mind that even though the glass is sturdy enough, the material still lends itself to being broken or scratched if they are not used with proper care.

Any bride or groomsmen party may enjoy a special thank you, and this would offer a way to show your personal gratitude. The design could be made into a serving dish or tray, and I've even been asked about my coasters as a cake topper or for table top displays. A couple would also welcome a housewarming gift in their new house to display a conversation art piece on their coffee table. The spiral cross design evokes symbolic or personal meaning to each person differently. It shows cross religious images within the Celtic and Christian church. However you feel about the imagery, it is executed in a style and detail in it's own unique artistry.

It may just be for yourself to add an accent to your home or office decor. The etched glass itself is best viewed on a dark solid background whether for personal use or shared with others. The glass captures the light and refracts in a more glowing resonance when any edgelighting can be introduced and directed to it while against a darker background.

This is an original cross design lending to a variety of design elements and styles as inspiration such as Celtic or Pictish and Christian and Spiritual influence.

It is symmetrical in design and uses positive and negative space in the weaving of the etched images on the glass. Examples are in the softly sandblasted areas of the spirals found in the border and the clear areas setting off the lighter etchings. The cross uses this same contrast especially around the trinity symbols on the border glass.
