Product Description
I cut and polished this Mammoth tusk ivory cabochon in my shop in Tucson. The ivory came from Russia and was found in Siberia during the short thaw season. Most likely found by hunters. It is around 30,000 years old. Cut from a large chunk and the brown is the outer layer. Called the "bark". The color came from the minerals in the ground where it was buried for thousands of years. The colors are not always this beautiful. This is jewelry grade Mammoth Tusk Ivory. Those splits just add beauty to this ivory. Its is solid, stable, and very hard. An excellent polish and finish.

The ring top is over 1" long and 3/4 of an inch wide. I custom made the bezel and it sits on a thick silver plate. Those are solid gold balls in between sterling silver "rope". The gold balls where made from a mix of 14kt and 12kt gold. I will call them 12kt to be safe. The weight of the gold is right at 1 gram.

The ring band is cut from a very thick, 14ga sheet of sterling. It's 1/4 wide. You could not bend it if wanted to.

The ring is a size 9.25. I can size this to what ever size you need....no charge
