A chunky casual look in this handcrafted and unique polymer clay and brass beaded necklace.

This necklace reminds me of those great days in the 60s - the rich natural colors and the exotic metals we wore. This is an updated cousin of that hippy necklace I used wear.

Polymer clay beads in striking and rich purples, mauves and grays are enhanced with brass textured disk beads and chain.

I love playing with this clay - the colors you can create are amazing, and the mottling and streaks always intrigue.

Casual and fun!

The necklace is 20 inches (51 cm) long and closes with a brass lobster clasp.

I make these clay beads in my studio. After they are cured in the oven, I hand sand them with 2000 grit wet / dry sandpaper, and then they are buffed to a soft glowing shine.

A bit about me:

I am an avid jewelry designer and I use my art background as a base to my creations. I am always trying different materials. I enjoy making my own designs - and the challenge of creating a piece of jewelry that is unique.
