This is fine English Shetland combed top. It has a crisp, open texture, and is the softest Shetland I've felt. Shetland is an old breed, and the wool is not cottony soft, but it is super easy to spin and becomes softer and blooms nicely when you finish the yarn. This fiber is dyed in brilliant colors that are sure to make a spot of bright cheer in your day when you spin them, and when you knit the yarn you will have something bright and colorful. I included photos with and without flash.

This particular top has a very nice long staple length, about 5 inches.

Hand wash only, cold.
Line dry.
