Elegant and shoulder sweeping earrings using a 48x26mm handmade antique brass teardrop chandelier. The hand-wrapped dangles are 6mm Czech prarie green fire-polished crystals and 4mm antique gold smooth beads.
The chandelier hangs from hypo-allergenic 17mm antique brass leverbacks that are produced in the U.S.A.

The overall finished length from the top of the leverback is approximately 3 1/4 inches.

Glass making in the Czech Republic is an age old cottage industry. These beads are still made in small quantities by hand. Czech fire-polished beads have been immensely popular for over two centuries and their appeal continues to grow.
The intense heat of the furnace "fires" the facets smooth. The result is warm flashes of refracted fire, boiling up from the interior rather than the intense surface reflections of a lap-polished bead.
