This striking necklace features an attention getting dichroic glass pendant, turquoise vintage glass, black beads and a sterling silver adjustable clasp.

The dichroic glass pendant is handmade of special dichroic glass that is fused in a kiln. If you have never seen dichroic glass before, you are in for a treat. This glass, which was originally developed for use in the aerospace program, is highly reflective. Dichroic glass, (often called, simply dichro) reflects 2 colors or tones of a color, depending on the angle of viewing. In the case of this particular pendant, the turquoise portion also looks metallic purple at certain angles. The pink also can shade off into purple or violet. The green mainly shifts tones. The black background really makes these colors pop!

The "Happy Camper Necklace" is designed asymmetrically for a contemporary appeal. Seven vintage, turquoise, bow tie shaped beads are stacked, perpendicularly to one another, on one side. These form a striking accent for the turquoise in the pendant. Metallic black tip-drilled beads are threaded in opposing directions, to the back of the necklace. The black beads have a silky feel and they drape nicely around the neck.

Two turquoise beads, with a thin stripe around the tops and bottoms punctuate the end of the necklace. The necklace is finished with a sterling silver lobster claw clasp. A sterling silver chain, ending with turquoise and black beads, allows you to adjust the length of this necklace to suit varying necklines.
