This brown, green and bronze colored handmade winter necklace features a whimsical ceramic mitten pendant, richly textured beads and a brass chain and clasp. "The Mitten" necklace is perfect for cold, blustery days, paired with a warm sweater, boots and mittens. "The Mitten" necklace will put a smile on your friends' faces and add a little warm spot in your heart.

The mitten pendant is handmade by ceramic artist LeAnn Weih of Summers Studio Etc. It features stripes in light blue and pale green, divided by thin, chocolate brown stripes. The cuff and thumb are also chocolate brown. The back of the pendant is unglazed brown clay.

The beaded section of the necklace is 6 inches (15.2 mm) long and includes an especially wonderful mix of textured beads. The rondelles (flattened round beads) feature molted colors of muted green, blue, brown and russet. At intervals between the rondelles are small squares of glass beads with a metallic bronze sheen, as well as small slate-blue beads with thin white vertical stripes. The visual texture and rich muted colors are quite intriguing and all accent the colors in the ceramic mitten.

Beyond the beaded section are nearly 6 inches (on either side) of textured antiqued brass chain. The necklace finishes with one rondelle on either side and an antiqued brass clasp.

I listed this necklace during, what some people jokingly referred to as, the Puget Sound area "Snowageddon"! As the snow piled up outside, I took "The Mitten" necklace outside to photograph it in its natural setting. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I know you would enjoy the necklace!
