I designed more fancy Christmas party dresses for little dogs in a variety of colors and styles this year. I decided to make them with a dog harness style top and full skirts and use a crinoline petticoat to give the dresses fullness and elegance, instead of the traditional tulle or net fabric one.

Crinoline is a stiff fabric, used to make petticoats for human party dresses, bridal gowns or costumes, in short, whenever a full skirt is desired. Unlike net fabric or tulle, crinoline is made from 100% cotton which will not irritate the delicate skin of hairless dogs or cats or make dogs with hairy coats itch, like Yorkies, Shih Tzus and Maltese.

This little Xmas dog party dress is a little different. It is made from a sweet yellow taffeta like fabric with silver dots to reflect the light for a festive look. It is decorated around the waist and hem with gorgeous scalloped silver Venise lace with clear rhinestone centers. To create the fullness that fancy evening gowns have, I sewed a crinoline petticoat to the inside of the dress.

The dress closes around the neck and the girth with Velcro for easy dressing and undressing.

Ordering your Formal Dresses:
Please place the order according to the harness size listed below. When checking out, please including the body length of your little girl with your order, so I know how long the dress needs to be. For all other sizes, please contact me first.

Note:
When purchasing this or any other harness style dress, please increase the dress size by one size. Example: Your dog normally wears a size XS, please purchase size small for the top. That way the fabric will close properly in the front for a very finished look.
