Artistic Fused Glass Pendant Necklace Etched Dichroic Reflections in Blue. Beautiful blues and purples combine to form this lovely pendant with dimensional etched design which brings depth and direction to the piece. The colors of the dichroic glass shimmer and change as the light hits it. The top section ranges from royal blue to purple and the lower section from turquoise to slate blue.

The pendant was made from dichroic glass layered on black glass and fused in my home studio. Next the striping was added using hand etching techniques. The pendant was then cut to the rounded triangle shape and size and beveled just a bit to soften the edges. It was then kiln fired again and properly annealed (slow cooled) for durability and shine. I finished the pendant with a hematite bail and black greek leather cord so it can be worn immediately.

The pendant measures 1.75in (4.5cm) from the top of the bail to the lowest point and 1.5in (4cm) across the widest part. The cord measures approximately 18in (46cm), but if you'd like a different length, just let me know.

It was the beginning of what she knew would be a very long day. She knew she would be exhausted and dirty and probably paint splattered by the time she fell into bed, but right now, she was stylishly dressed and looking successful and happy. She smiled as she hooked on the necklace, the one frivolous purchase she had allowed herself over the past couple of years. It was a lovely, one of a kind piece she found for herself while browsing online, waiting, wishing for this day. She could not resist the sparkling glass with its deep blue and purple colors that would look great with any outfit either dressed up or down. So, after the long years of scrimping and saving today was the day - this necklace had done its job of reminding her of brighter days to come. She glanced at the clock and hurried to grab her purse making sure the certified check was there. It was time to close on her new house and then move in and start making it her home.
